Backpack:	Cabelas XPG 5000 - Love it (have modified it to create a true removable top pack and a mesh strap kit to use the largest removable side pocket as a hydration backpack). Sleeping Pad:	Therm-a-Rest Prolite 4 (Womens - they are shorter but thicker - same weight)
Hiking Boots:	REI Monarch (heavy Hikers) & Merrell Moab Ventilator (for hot AZ trails), Merrell Continuum low rise hikers (day hikes) - I used the Monarchs at Philmont - they suffered and are now hanging from the sign (blown out grommets and soles crumbling - just too old - not so comfortable either...)
Camp Shoes:	Closed Toe Sandals - Outland ‘Equinox' River Sandals - these werer cheap & great.
Socks:	REI Polypro Liners & various: Wigwam / Fox River / Thorlos
